Sorry, let me change the title. I don't use the big tech stuff, so not sure what to compare it to exactly.

for real. it's 2026. everything with social features is tiktok. instagram, facebook, youtube. they're all tiktok
Short form and vertical videos are cancer. The cure is not an open source viewer - not watching that slop entirely is.
I wish it would stop showing videos i have already seen.
Since it's OSS, you can make a feature request or even implement the feature yourself, I guess.
that's the meat and potato of these addictive platforms, I wonder if anyone will ever open source it. twitter does that half assed I think

Noticed the same and iirc shifted instance anyway when this came out. Is it easier now to see an all-instance feed?
I haven't really figured that out yet but it doesn't seem to work like Lemmy or Mastodon
Downloaded the new version and it seems to still be manual browsing only. The project discord might have more info but I avoid that app
