I see an xz-utils update lol... Is anyone else freaked out by the memories of what had happened? (programming.dev)

Should we update right away or wait? The new version I'm seeing in Mint's Update Manager says it's 5.6.1+really5.4.5-1ubuntu0.3… kinda weird, haha.

the 'really' version was the rollback to a known good version that they (ubuntu) pulled from debian as noble (mint 22's upstream) was getting ready to beta (which was delayed a week because of this).

noble has had a couple previous updates to xz-utils. looks like they're just putting security updates in. the most recent one addresses two cve. changelog
