Indeed. My spot = yellow baby blanket that goes across my lap for her to sit upon. Otherwise, she'll ignore my lap.
If I was off spot with mine, I’d get the polite approach, equally polite examination of setting, a genteel “No, not quite my tempo”, and moving on as smoothly as if I’d never been born. I loved them all, but she was ever the princess.
