No case. Too bulky.

Cases on any Apple Watch looks tacky IMO

Nope. (Destroy My Watch < Time to Upgrade)

I do! Because I’m clumsy and I don’t trust myself to not break it. Either way, I don’t think it should matter if it’s normal or not, it’s either you want to use a case or don’t.

I use a case with my s7 but I’m paranoid as shit about bouncing it off stuff occasionally. Just a small snap on that doesn’t add too much bulk

I've had a S4 since they were released - no case, no screen protector, no scratches, no worries... I honestly think they make an already too-bulky device into a weird robot appendage.

No case but I do have a screen protector on it. Even without a case, the watch has stayed in great condition. Only a couple shallow scratches on the body and only one on the screen which happened when I was replacing the screen protector 🤦‍♀️

I bought one for my s9, had it on for about an hour and got sick of how bad it felt. Took it off and haven’t had anything on since. Had the watch for about 6 weeks now

I use a case. I don’t give a rat’s patootie what anyone says it looks like. And yes, I could afford to buy another one tomorrow if I had to but maybe that’s because I don’t flush my money down the toilet. (Sorry; I’m feeling a little snarky about some of the earlier comments). Also, being a girly, I have a few different cases and can change them to match what I’m wearing.

It’s a free country. You can put two cases on if you want. That being said, I’m in the no watch case club. Had AW7 41mm for half a year, not a scratch. Gave it to my wife - massive cosmetic damage within a month.

Screen cover only. I have a variety of them to match what ever band I have on it at the time.

One the one hand you have something expensive on your wrist and you hit stuff with more often than you think. But otherwise it looks like shit in most cases (pun intended).

Me myself? I’m too ultra to understand these problems.

Never use a case.

I’ve had an Apple Watch since S0, and have never had a case or screen protector. Have yet to have an issue.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Tacky and unnecessary

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Screen protector, yes. Case, no.

I have screen protector and case (AWU2). It makes already bulky watch even bulkier but I’ll settle with bad looks rather than scratches. And I’ve bumped it quite a few times.

Never used a case for a watch. I don't know anybody that uses a case on their AW. My thinking is if I'm that accident prone, maybe a G-Shock is the better choice. My wife is pretty careless and her Apple Watch 3 still looks new, same as mine. We don't do rock climbing or anything, which is pretty much the only activity I might justify a case on a watch. If I was a mechanic I would either not wear it while working, or use a case, or resign myself to getting it beat up... which is the most logical to me because I want to be replacing it every three generations or so anyways.

Having said that... we're still using our 3's because they are NOT getting beat up and scratched despite using them every day. Cases would just make us look... special.

Just a screen protector. I’ve tried a couple of cases from Amazon but they’re bulky and the touchscreen response was off. They were returned and once again it’s all good with just a screen protector.

I've had an Apple Watch since the original and have never damaged my watch beyond normal wear and tear microscratches on the metal (not on the face). And I don't use a case. That said, if I were in a pretty physically demanding field, a case might make more sense (my general contractor friend who is frequently on construction sites wears one). I do work out with mine (I currently have the SS) and again, other than microscratches (which I could buff out if I cared) it looks totally fine.

I have S8 41mm which is small and added a case. Yes it looks a bit bulky on my tiny arm but i have a watch looking like new without the case

AWU2. I use mine indoor and outdoor rock climbing. No case or screen protector (it’s SAPPHIRE, for crying out loud). I’ve hit my wrist pretty hard multiple times on Squamish granite. I cannot find a single scratch on my screen under bright light and close inspection.

I’m sure the titanium casing will be the first to go, though. But I’ve seen pictures of the natural wear and tear on the Ultra’s titanium, and I think it actually looks significantly better than putting a whole circus tent on your wrist.

FWIW, back when I had a mainline series watch, I had one of those case and screen 2-in-1s. The transition has been very liberating.

Cases get water trapped in them and look pretty ugly. I’ve yet to see just a glass screen protector that stays on - if anyone knows of a good brand I’m eager to know!

Snapping a case on is normal. Not good though if you want to swim with it as water might get between case and watch.

As mine is made of titanium, I only use a screen protector
