The civil war had nothing to do with slavery. It was about states rights...to do slavery.
Maybe they were like "You can do slavery, but only because we say you can, not because you have the right to"

One of my friends from the South said it best. "Some children learn about the Civil War, and some children learn about 'The War of Northern Aggression'."
