I have read and enjoyed the Ibex group translation. It is not as rich a world as DE, but has complex and interesting characters. I would not recommend it as a standalone novel, but good if you enjoyed DE and want more.

I read it the first time, understood nothing, except that it is very depressing. Then I read it the second time, understood most of it and turns out, it is even more depressing that it seems at first! It is good, but very weird and pretty illegible without playing Disco Elysium first.

i've seen Kurvitz describe it as a very challenging read compared to disco which they intentionally designed to be as accessible as possible. i have not read it because to be frank it doesn't seem to be very interesting and doesn't "add" anything to the DE experience, which is fine but it just means that it's more like its own thing.
