The Bart/moe prank calls dynamic was one of my favorite things about the Simpsons. It reminds me of the banter I have with my great uncle.
As much as I enjoy this meme, I hate that Moe calls him Bart. Moe never found out who the prank caller was in the actual show.
There is a theory that Moe knows it's Bart every time and he commits to the bit just to make Bart laugh
If it was anyone but Moe, I'd adopt that headcannon, but he'd NEVER lol

I thought I remembered there being an episode where he did, but I'm probably misremembering the one where Bart claims to be Jimbo to ruin his date with what's-her-face.

He said "Wait a minute..." right after, which implies he did not.
i figured the only reason he went along with it was because he knew it was bart and if he didn't he would get turned into a jack in the box like homer or something, and then he was "wait a minute" about what he said, but that is a take i can consider as valid too
I can't see him being able to convincingly pretend that he didn't know who it was. The "Wait a minute" could also have been realizing that what he said DEFINITELY wasn't a name, but that still doesn't indicate that he knew it was Bart.

i mean, when bart goes in and sings the teddy bear's picnic to the bar, i agree with you. the series is only semi-static though, so my headcanon is moe figured it out eventually. like, for example, when he went to go paint his boat with jimbo's guts and found him at midge's place.
