Its not a steamdeck 2 but based on the changes it seems like a 1.5. Alone going from a 40Whr battery; 2-8 hours of gameplay (content-dependent) to a 50Whr battery; 3-12 hours of gameplay (content-dependent) should be pretty nice.

Mind you I cant really afford it and I dont really have an excuse to buy one except for the desire to obtain a shiny toy. I didnt buy the release version ...so I probably wont buy this one either. Nice that it exists though.

Just when the competition in the handheld space was ramping up, Valve comes back to dunk on them again.

It’s pretty awesome that they also cut the price on the old model. The $400 LCD version now comes with a 256gb NVME SSD rather than the slow eMMC it came with.
