Awesome! I went with the one from Brazil for now due to lack of a better option, it's the only one not in the EU (because chat control), nor a 5 eyes country (5 eyes bad), and seemed to be less sketchy than India and South Africa.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but might Chat Control be approved in EU, wouldn't that scanning be on the client side, before encryption? That would mean it doesn't matter where your server is. It matters where you are.
Oh, is it? You might be right idk (in which case I'd be safe, but either way that sucks for the EU of course).
In any case, one of my Mastodon friends just posted that he's hosting his own outside the eu/5eyes (at least I think, because of where he's at), and that I'm welcome on it, so I already abandoned the Brazil relay for his lol. Hadn't even sent/received one message yet before I already switched lol, but this is definitely where I belong.
