Most of you probably know lemm.ee will be shut down and this community will die with it. It can be moved to another lemmy instance, but it can also be moved with its post to piefed like it was done to other communities.

I hope to see more photos of cool castles in the future.

Yes! I will definitely do what I can to make that happen. I'm currently shopping around for a new instance myself. I'm just hearing about PieFed and will need to research.

Posting more is on my to-do list, so squirrel doesnt have to hold this place up by themselves ;)

Piefed also has scheduled posts!

Haha, that was my holdup. I figured how to curl my way to making automated posts, but I just hadn't built it all. Thanks for the tip!

So, I've given PieFed a spin, and I can already say the web UI loads much quicker on my phone than Lemmy. I guess I'll take the plunge by migrating it.

Thank you for your efforts!

Appreciate it! Last request (if you didn't delete your lemm.ee account):

If possible, would you mind locking this community (only mod can post) and put up a permanent sticky post that points to new community?

It will stay up like that on all the other instances that have a local copy of this community and would be nice for new fediverse users :)

Yep, working on that today!

More than just images are welcome. Only real rule is that content must refer to a real-life structure, so please no fantasy/fictional castles! Reasonable exceptions include media showcasing period life and technology that somehow relates to castles.
