/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

I get all of those characters (first to represent something progressive in Star Trek), except for T'Pal. Did I miss something about her character?

(Picture also needs Kirk & Uhura's kiss)

I think it’s because Vulcans during ENT were kind of… racial purists. Her and Trip having a thing was Not Cool, according to the Vulcan government and populace at the time. She was definitely bucking the trend there.

Happy Pride to all my two spirited brothers and sisters

In indigenous culture, two spirited generally means that it identifies an individual with a masculine and feminine spirit. It acknowledges that the individual has multiple ways of being without seeing them better or worse than any other person. In my culture, everyone no matter where they lean sexually have elements of a masculine and feminine spirit, some are stronger in one way, others are strong in the other way and some equally carry both sides with them.

I think every culture was this way thousands of years ago because as human animals, we have always and will forever have a variety of individuals. All our ancestors whether Native American, European, Asian or African understood that and it's only in recent times (relatively speaking) that this attitude changed.

It's good to see that the world is going back to how we all once lived and appreciated one another.

Here's a recent photo I saw in the news of pride celebration I thought was amazing .... Two-Spirit couple Adrian Matthias Stevens and Sean Snyder

Happy pride to all! Star Trek is founded on diversity and acceptance.

(That said, it's sort of ironic to put Worf up front there considering he was less than thrilled about Jadzia's sexual openness.)

And yet he also learned so much from Jadzia. To the point of not just tolerating but accepting her for who she is.

I loved the image of having three overly masculine Klingons as representative of celebrating pride month.

What could be more masculine, powerful and honorable than to acknowledge everyone of every sexuality and identity.

Highly appreciated. Happy pride month y'all.
