A Texas grandmother died from heat last week (among a dozen more people in her town) being too afraid to turn on her air conditioner because of the expense. When the choice is between running the AC while potentially contributing to the global energy consumption driving the climate change and turning the AC off and literally dying, you don't need to be a hero. permalink fedilink source parent
