Saw some gameplay from SMT3 and SMT5 and they look like the most generic video game of all time. Why do people care about these.

My understanding is that they are games about dating your high school teacher and curing gayness or something

    That's Persona, Shin Megami Tensei is more about killing a god cuz he's got bad vibes and then enslaving him to cast support spells.
