Someone saw the most popular workshop mods for stellaris and decided to make a game out of that combination. Can't say I blame them either 😁

Dunno about the developers working on this though, they don't really have a stellar (pun intended) track record and this seems to be the first strategy game they've ever worked on. It took stellaris half a decade to refine and improve the base game and that was with an experienced team that worked on EU and CK games, it will be an uphill battle for Nimble Giant Entertainment.
