Big tactical mistake by China to not maybe or maybe not consider what would happen if they asked Bhutan to host a Chinese base without actually asking them to do so. Speaking from experience here. I considered asking Bhutan to host a military base of mine (in the end I decided on not asking since I have no connection to Bhutan or any kind of military) and it worked out great.
china should start building big signs (preferably visible from satellite) in any random place outside their borders where they can.
the signs should read "chinese military base here" in english.
there should be nothing else there.
