Inactive mods? (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I moderate the /c/stopdrinking community. The person who created it didn't want to mod, and so I volunteered. Now the creator has gone inactive and hasn't been around for for 4 days.

I'd like to update the sidebar, etc, but only the creator seems to be able to do that.

What happens if he never comes back? If he can eventually be removed, what would be a reasonable amount of time to wait?

In the meantime, can an Admin change the sidebar text for me?

In case Rudd sees this, I'd like the new sidebar to read:

"This is a place to motivate each other to control or stop drinking. We welcome anyone who wishes to join in by asking for advice, sharing our experiences and stories, or just encouraging someone who is trying to quit or cut down. Please post only when sober; you’re welcome to read in the meanwhile."

What's there isn't very helpful.
