[–] Arayvenn@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 years ago (2 children) Popped my Mac Cherry with an M2 earlier this year and I'm very happy with the purchase. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] tj111@lemmy.fmhy.ml 7 points 3 years ago I switched just because of the difference the chipset makes. I've been running windows for gaming and Linux for personal shit forever - I'm not generally a fan of Apple and their walled garden business mod. But the MacBook pro with the m2 will run my dev environments and teams meetings from 8-5 all day on battery and still has a good 30-40% left at the end of the day. It's not even competitive right now unfortunately, since I work remote I like to float around and work from different places and not having to worry about charging is a game changer. permalink fedilink source parent [–] juancarlos@mastodon.world 1 point 3 years ago @Arayvenn @cantankerous_cashew kudos permalink fedilink source parent
