New to the game, is it OK if I use a controller? (lemmy.world)

Hey guys, new to the game (just bought it today! looks fun).

I know it's probably sub-optimal and that aiming precision isn't gonna be the same, but I'm wondering if I risk getting flamed or something if I use a controller instead of kb + mouse.

The reason is that I'm not used to playing shooters on a keyboard and the controller just feels so much more comfortable to me.

Play how you want. I may groan internally if you don't spam ping mushrooms or gold.

    Just played a couple non-solo missions (I was too scared to play with others at first, since I had no idea what I was doing) and I'm having a blast. Playing with randos is so much better, mostly for the rock and stone spam ngl. But yea I'm spamming ping ty for the advice lol

    I can't believe I slept on this gem for so long!
