For most, pi hole/adguard home covers you. For YouTube ads there are a large number of addons and extensions that still cover that. (I actually pay for family premium out of Turkey for various reasons.) On TV you’ve got iSponsorBlock which can both mute and auto skip (when the skip button becomes available) the ads when they come up, with the added benefit of being able to skip in video sponsoring/ads. And it doesn’t even need to be running on your local network.
