Hi, so my cats decided it’d be a good idea to chew through the Ethernet cable that runs from my modem to router and now there is exposed silver wiring. Is taping over it with PVC tape alright to temporarily cover the exposed wire? TIA

Taping as a temporary fix will work until you can replace the cable.

I'm more concerned that it's silver. Unless the cable is tinned or shielded, I would have expected copper-colored wires.

This spray works pretty well keeping my cats away from places that I don't want them. This may also help.

Yeah I believe it was advertised as shielded cable when I bought it years ago
