Now that there's somewhere else, people will continue to trickle out as they get tired of it. It doesn't need to all happen at once -- in fact, reddit doesn't need to shut down. I mean, mass idiocy will move with the masses, you can't really get away from it. But add a power-hungry megalomaniac to the mix of an already irritated user base, and it's not pretty. Frankly, Reddit can keep the kind of users who are willing to stay there. Hopefully that will keep other communities cleaner. permalink fedilink source parent
