I started high school two months ago. For christmas my parents want to buy me a macbook mainly for studies but also regular stuff (watching shows, facetime, etc) i dont want to spend too much (my younger brother asks for a lot every christmas). im so overwhelmed cuz idk what type to get ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž suggestions?

I disagree, I tried using an iPad with a keyboard for school and while it was alright using a MacBook became so much better, I had wayy less limitations and it was a lot more usable day to day. Maybe it will suit them more but I also had a number of issues with school software support on iPad vs Mac
