Hey guys, so today I went ahead and bought a docking station with 2 HDMI slots. I connected the first monitor and it worked quite well but when I added the second one, it considered them to be one monitor...

I have the 2021 Macbook M1 Pro

Which dock?

You need a Thunderbolt adapter/hub/dock to get two external monitors working. Non-Thunderbolt USB-C docks rely on MST (multi-stream transport) which is not supported by macOS.
