I'd like to run a fiber from my house to pole barn. The actual distance is about 200ft but I'd like to bury the cable and there are some elevation changes so I'd like to buy a 300' cable and I'm debating between buying 2 or 4 cables even though I only need and plan to light one initially (I could see potentially using 2 in the future; 1 for lan and 1 to backhaul starlink if I get fiber internet at the house and move my firewall from the polebarn to house), On either side I have Ubiquiti switches with open SPF+ ports that are 10 gigabit capable.

Based on what I've read, I'm expecting people to recommend fs.com and I'm good with that, but other than knowing I need to match single/multimode transceivers and cable, I don't know what I need to do to ensure the transceivers and cables are compatible.

If you were in my place what would you purchase (and if you educational information on useful knowledge / wisdom I'd greatly appreciate it including suggestions on trenching etc).
