How to find an apple watch's original owner? (alien.top)

I work at a hotel and I found an apple watch in one of the rooms and forgot to turn it in. No one's called to ask for it or anything, but this is an expensive piece of tech that I'm sure the original owner wants returned to them. I don't own any apple products so I have no use for it and selling it seems a little scummy.

Can I just walk into an apple store and ask them? The watch has no battery left, though, and I don't have a charger.

Please help me reunite this watch!

Selling it seems scummy? You work there and didn’t just bring it to the front desk like you would with all lost/found items. You’re already being scummy.
