A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to Steam Hardware or Steam OS in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.

MODERATORS
If you're on the same network as your gaming PC, and have a halfway decent router, you can use Steam's remote play to get the performance of your gaming PC on your Deck. Works great from my experience and would allow you to play titles that the deck struggles with.
Was looking for this: Steam in-home streaming is great for gaming with alternate devices as long as you have a powerful computer. Works really well when you don't want to sit at your gaming PC.
Oh wow this is actually really helpful. I just figured I can do that with Moonlight and my iPad 12.9 inch so that's really nice for now
Done exactly this a few times when sick in bed with a cheap android tablet with an xbox controller and I was surprised at how well it worked. Even fast paced games like Hades run quite well.
