Time for bed. Anxious about the bot, but it has worked once, I must have faith. I have instructed it to make a post at midnight given all the test posts worked last night. I think it will take a few more successful posts before I can really trust it is working.
Thanks again for making it work. Did you open source your codes? Perhaps some of us can help out
It's made from other people's code, I just had to add the specific variables and work out how to actually run it - which starting from absolutely no knowledge has been pretty hard. If I knew what I was doing it would probably be fairly easy!
If you want to look at it the code I used is on GitHub. Search Lemmy Bot for the main code, and Lemmy Frank Bot for the specific posting bits. I had to strip out the sections to pin posts as they were not working, possibly because of the change to version 18 on Lemmy as that's not been updated since the change.
