Control is one of my most favourite games of all time but just haven't been able to muster up any interest in this one. I think it's because they picked the weakest character of the entire game to be the new protagonist and that really killed my curiosity.

and also the fact it's $80CAD. It can wait.

    I felt similarly about the new main character, and the start of the game wasn't great in that regard, but his arc gets better as the game progresses. By the end I really liked him as his own character and as a part of the larger narrative.

    I really liked the previous main character ... so I wasn't as excited with it, but the reviews have been stellar so I wanna pick it up. $80 CAD is what's putting me off of it too...

    The price is a very fair point.

    I will say I was skeptical as well with Dylan as the MC but this game is very specifically an intimate experience with them building up Dylan as a character and someone to care about coming out from the first Control. I think it would be worth a try once it goes on sale to a price you are comfy with.
