They just took it for granted that the whole of humanity should benefit from automation, AI, and limitless energy / matter conversion. How silly.

(Let's all just ignore the show's inability to imagine a world without class, servants and land ownership in the post scarcity economy. As Picard somehow owns a vineyard with servants who work it in his absence)

To be fair, maybe in a post scarcity space faring society that land is abundant on Earth as most humans live elsewhere now, allowing the Earth to heal ecologically. Perhaps he only "owns" it insofar as his position as a starship Captain for the Federation allows him to have this space to himself because no one else would use it. Perhaps the "servants" actually live in large nearby houses and this is just what they wanted to do with their lives and how they wanted to live and since they take care of all the properties anyway, why not upkeep the small portion of the property that a Captain actually lives in.

I dunno, just spitballing. Probably wrong on Earth being less populated somehow. I'm not queen of star trek trivia or anything.

Yeah you kind of have to assume that, in the depicted post-scarcity society, any “job” you see people doing is something they want to do. Like, Picard owns the vineyard or whatever but all those people in the fields might be people who like making wine and so Jean-Luc opens the land for them to do this.

Sisko’s dad has a restaurant in a society with replicators. Clearly this exists because he likes making food for groups of people.
