Liberals are so brainwashed that they cannot imagine that it is even **possible to disagree with the Overton window set by US propaganda media. It does not even register in their head, for a brief moment, that anything outside of that Overton window is even possibly worth consideration. If a person clearly lies outside of that Overton window, they thus naturally presuppose that they could only possibly espouse that position if they are either being forced to, or are being paid to, hence, you a "wumao" or a "Russian bot."

This also plays into why liberals tend to so readily support western intervention on other countries. Because liberals cannot even fathom that anyone can possibly disagree with the Overton window set by the US (indeed, even liberals not in the US tend to think this way, as their opinions are heavily influenced by US and US-funded media), they presuppose that everyone, in every country, also holds opinions within that Overton window.

Thus, they think, for example, that everyone in China, everyone in Cuba, everyone in Russia, all hold the same opinions as the average US American, and if they say otherwise, again, it is either because they're being forced to, or being paid to, or they're a state official lying for their own benefit. Hence, liberals truly, honestly believe that every regular Chinese citizen, for example, is secretly begging for US to "liberate" them and bring them US-style "democracy" and that their own government is evil brutal tyrannical hellhole.

This really is just not confined to politics. It is a general liberal thought pattern, which is a thought pattern that is entirely incapable of any original ideas. Rather, this liberal thought pattern just uses "consensus" as a divining rod for what is absolute truth, even if they don't understand what they are defending, they will cite vague "authorities" and "consensus" as the reason you should believe it on its own.

People like this do not believe things because they looked into them, looked at the evidence, and found them convincing. They believe things because of their consensus-divining-rod told them it is the "consensus" therefore it should be believed. They apply this kind of thinking to everything, not just politics, and they are genuinely the dumbest people you will ever meet, because it is clear when you talk to them, no gears at all turn in their brains and they refuse to ever engage in a substantive discussion on anything.

They will always deflect from any substantive discussion by deflecting it back to "consensus," telling you that they don't care about what arguments you have to make, just show them evidence that your claim is what most people in major institutions already believe. Of course, we live in a capitalist era, and so I cannot prove that most people in major institutions in most countries, which are mostly capitalist countries, do not already believe in Marxism. And that fact alone is used to dismiss any substance to my argument.
