When we have the revolution in Australia and they make me head of the Committee of Public Safety I'm putting every single person responsible for this "put them in camps forever" idea into the remains of the Woomera camp and then redesignating the target zone of the nearby rocket range. One death is not enough for the suffering they've caused worldwise
My theory is that climate change will eventually make Australia unlivable and Australians will try to flee en masse to New Zealand.
I hope New Zealand treats these Australians with the same compassion and dignity as the Australians treated "the boat people".
The south east coast and tassie will likely stay vaguely liveable. That said Tasmania is essentially the West Island of NZ culturally.
Its always strange to me that australia, an entire country that started as a forever camp for criminals, would unironically do the same thing to people looking for a better life

Look at the people who founded Israel and what the state of Israel has become as another example.
