k honestly fuck Carney tho. He's using his majority to completely disregard treaties (Bills C-39, C-5), trying to fuck our right to strike (Bill C-39), and our privacy rights (Bills C-2, C-22, C-8)

I get that he's been competent with the trade war, and that he has been diplomatic with Trump, but I don't like people acting like he's a great prime minister when he is still fucking us.

There wasn't anyone else on that last election ballot that I would vote for to take on Trump. And that is exactly what we had to vote for last election: Who can take on Trump.

Little PP would have sold Canada out in a heartbeat. I really liked Jagmeet but to me he simply wasn't equipped to tackle a world financial crisis. He seemed more obsessed with social media status than politics. There were no other alternatives.

We had to choose between a career brownnoser, an inexperienced good dude, or the former leader of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England, who lead the UK through the disaster brexit was/is.

Obvious choice when voting with sense instead of feelings.

I wish Jack Layton was still with us.

    Edit: Clarification

Do not get me wrong, I agree that we needed him for the trade war, bit we cannot forget about these important issues because they are extremely important to maintaining our democracy.

I would've personally preferred, in this specific case, a minority Liberal gov with an NDP official opp.

Carney is good for the trade war, but pressure from the NDP wouldve reigned in some of the aforementioned BS

Agreed. Minority governments are nearly always my preference as well.

Minority governments are nearly always my preference as well.

With the caveat that the other parties have to be willing to work towards win-win compromises that are in the interests of the country.

Calling non-confidence votes every other week and saying no simply because the governing party said yes is completely useless and provides no value to the country., which is exactly how PP's conservatives have operated.

Well, I for one appreciate that he gave me a little travel sized bottle of lube at one point even though he's been constantly and aggressively selling my ass to rich and powerful groups both foreign and domestic for their convenience and pleasure.

He's a kind fellow and I believe he cares about me. /s

A lot of the things in the these bills are popular though. Most popular politician in QC and AB - that's a big chunk of his job.

Them being popular doesn't mean they're good for the vast majority of people in the country.

It is our job to let him know where he's transgressing boundaries, like in the case of the bills mentioned. Call your MP, send them emails and paper mails. He is a corporatist, but at least seems to want to not sell us out to the USA like PP would. That's the first priority in these times. Once the USA falls into civil war, we may reconsider who should lead Canada.
