I personally -do- think copyright shouldn't exist. But it does (for Marvel or whatever), but not for GPL licensed projects once it is encoded in a matrix, and that's pretty messed up. "Loki is a copyrighted Marvel character, I can’t create a new, full-length story using him as the main character.", Yet if I ask it to write a text editor based on GNU Emacs it has very little problem doing so (edit: and technically failing, but still).
