Yeah, especially if they think their cause is "just" and they're allowed to lie to trick people into supporting it as a result. I've always tried to follow the truth, even when it has lead to unpleasant places, and that's why I'm a communist today. I can't imagine someone whose worldview is knowingly built on lies and they're fine with that, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I was like that.
