“Steve Miller certainly seemed to make that point to everyone that he wanted it to be cruel. This was what Miller had stated to the DHS at that time, to the DHS director and deputy director. What surprised me was just how adamant the people were that it was going to happen. Damn the consequences. I would say in 25 years of working with the U.S. government, I've never been in that position before."

Goebbels

Goebbels was the propeganda minister. ICE (the equivalent of the SS), is headed by Markwayne Mullin, the Secretary of Homeland Security. The equivalent of Miller would more be like Martin Bormann, the head of the Nazi Party Chancellery, and private secretary to Adolf Hitler. Evil men for sure, and all are/were proponents of extermination. But, Bormann was more Hitler's kiss ass like Miller is to tRump, and Miller sticks to tRump like the same glue that held Bormann to Hitler. Both Miller and Bormann advocate(d) for evil, but both would rather have a third party do the hard work. Also, Bormann was better able to control the information/people that got to Hitler much like Miller tries to control who/what gets to tRump.

Also, while Himmler ran the camps that did the actual gassing, it was Bormann who signed the the decree of 9 October 1942 prescribing that the permanent Final Solution in Greater Germany could no longer be solved by emigration, but only by the use of "ruthless force in the special camps of the East", that is, extermination in Nazi death camps.
