I read this article after being posted in "the other place", within the comments there was this very insightful and thought provoking comment. I will post it in the comments, I thought it was worthy of us all.

Not familiar with this, but it sounds a lot like Loving-Kindness Meditation, for example: https://ggia.berkeley.edu/practice/loving_kindness_meditation

    I have a meditation/Bhuddist background.

    This was purely a helpful, don't have to suggest anything informational.

    I had to drop out of this stuff because I was focusing on the thing that was harming me.

    There is no harm in silence, there is harm in avoidance.

    Because despite having both a three day old account, and an account that's several hours old at this point, this isn't going the way he hoped.

    I thought that long ass post he made was from the article, but it looks more like a long winded way of saying people are depressed because they're not not depressed, and the secret to be not depressed is to just not be depressed. The world is exactly the same as it was before, and we didn't move the ball forward at all, and with this comment I'm just as much to blame because I don't have any suggestions to offer, either.
