I switched to Librewolf a few years back now.

While you can do most of the modifications to vanilla Firefox yourself, That's effort you gonna keep up with every update.

Also the LibreWolf devs dedication to scrapping off any Ai crud just becomes more important as Mozilla pushes it harder.

Yeah, i dont want to go through that every time i open my browser on my computer, i just want it to work. Im glad Librewolf is firm on this, makes me like them even more now.

I had to setup Firefox before posting this and i had to disable a lot of settings that are scattered to multiple pages. Like those are not sane defaults. Who want to get recommended extensions while browsing? Who wants an AI model to suggest tabs & name for tab groups???

Sounds very Google-like to me... cant even open the browser just by itself and something is tracking you.

Not sure why you wouldn't. Exactly the same functionality without any of the BS. I've been using Librewolf and Fennec for years but still do the Firefox sync to make life easier.

Not really. Builtin password manager is no more (which is a deal breaker to me) and all Ai related functionalities. While most Ai stuff is useless, I appreciate the offline translation of websites. The only Ai related functionality I use in Firefox. This one not a deal breaker, but its nice to have that I would miss it in Librewolf.

The AI part was in the "without any of the BS" part of my sentence. If you like AI features then use what you want.

Right, but then its no longer exactly the same functionality, because it removes a useful functionality. Even if all Ai features are BS for you, its still a useful functionality that is being removed, and therefore no longer "exactly the same functionality". Because it is done offline on your machine and the results are pretty good from my experience. I use it often (translation). And there is no extension available integrated this well into the browser, doing the job this good and stays offline.

Pretty sure not everyone else. But besides that, does that mean I am not allowed to ask, because I did knew what you mean? So only people who know what you mean are allowed to ask what you mean?

What exactly do you mean with this reply now? I mean removing a useful Ai feature like I described as above is removing a non BS feature. I thought LibreWolf would remove all Ai features. I'm confused, do they or don't they?? You are so cryptic right now.

I don't know, the other person responding also mentioned it scraping off all the AI crud, so I really don't think it's cryptic and I think everyone else knew that AI was one of the main "BS" features I was talking about. I am sorry I was not extremely blatantly clear enough for you. Feel free to move on if it is causing you this must stress.
