I'm having such language issues today, all day long. Everything turns into a damn "garden path" sentence.

I read "yanks" as a noun, i.e. people from the US moving to Canada might be called a "Canadian Yank" - in the same way that I had a friend who moved from northern US to southern US and took the moniker "Confederate Yankee". heh.

My brain has been sideways all damn day. heh
