None of that existed when the first Model S was released. It was miles ahead the competition.

    And the quality was shit then too. By most accounts even worse than now.

    ..that the reason Tesla took off was not because it was electric - we've had electric cars before. It's because it was an actually good electric car that people could use as their daily driver. It looked good, the range was acceptable, the acceleration was on par with or above most supercars and it received a 5 start rating in crash tests from both, the NHTSA and Euro NCAP. It is the car that demonstrated that an EV is now a viable option.

    Now you have said that twice.

    And that was the point of my original argument. That it was not a good car.

    I don't need to repeat myself for anyone with any reading comprehension and the ability to recall that information.

    For you please refer and read carefully, perhaps multiple times, what i wrote.

    I'll even modify it for you to eliminate your issue...

    The quality control is the worse compared to any other car company. Even the cheapest cars have better fit and finish than the most Teslas.
