There's no real ideology behind flavio bozo, he has the mentality of a petty criminal who got too much money and is trying to avoid being caught. He has managed that thus far, despite many spotlights showing how rotten he is.

Then again, the largest political force in Brazil for the past 20 years has been antipetismo, simply being against PT (Worker's party). For a lot of people, anything is better than PT and Lula. Democracy is a perpetual risk of putting asinine demagogues in power.

    @politicalcartoons @ICastFist

    I knew Bolsonaros are corrupt fascists and this is an insane attempt to snatch back power made more possible via nepotism and cronyism but that is sad to hear about Lula. I'm under the impression he was part of a solution or, at least, trying to hold back the tide of fascism.

    Lula was more of the latter. Senate and chamber of deputies, which hold a lot of power over the president^[Seriously, the chamber of deputies has tried to implement a parliamentary presidency since 1990, but public support never went past 30%. Despite that, they keep approving laws giving themselves more power. They can unilaterally veto almost anything the president does, including presidential vetoes to laws.], have PL (Liberal Party, the shit that houses bozo and other trump-sucking drama clowns) as the majority party, with other right wing parties accounting for over half of all seats in both cases. It was already this bad during this last term of his, it'll be even worse now.
