Of course it's not cheaper to eat at home on the days that I'm busting out dry aged prime ribeye. But the days that I'm doing teriyaki chicken bowls on the grill over rice, that's obscenely cheaper than like $15 per person fast food meals. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Goforce5@lemmy.world 1 point 3 days ago (1 child) Ah yes, let me come home in between two doubles and spend time prepping, cooking, and cleaning instead of getting that precious extra hour of rest. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] dream_weasel@sh.itjust.works 1 point 3 days ago You'll feel better and it's likely to take you less time than ordering and waiting for something to show up. If you're just doing pick up, it will save you 2/3 of the money you're working doubles to make and then lighting on fire to eat fast "food". If you've got a rice cooker and a toaster oven I've got a couple of recipes less than 10 mins of actual work. I understand not wanting to work too hard at it too though. permalink fedilink source parent
