Came across a “No network from this point on-please contact your loved ones to avoid worry”-sign when driving to Spiti valley, India. In fact there was no connection for the next 10 hours of driving. (thelemmy.club)

It's technically possible to have a satellite dead spot but I doubt it. And it wouldn't line up with ground based spots.
