My wife and I watched that Claire Danes show The Beast in Me, and it was crazy because you can like see the emotions on her face, and its startling because you usually can't see actresses over 40 emote because of botulism. And it's incredible, she fucking kills it.

We also watched Scarpetta which ended up being pretty bad, but there's a clear difference between Jamie Lee Curtis, who can emote and does a really excellent performance, and Nicole Kidman who delivers her lines like Moira Rose in Schmitt's Creek because she can't even purse her lips.

Like, I'm not judging, it must be hell to be a famous actress, the pressures to look young well into your 50's just to be able to practice your craft are not something I would wish upon anyone. But the difference is stark, and its cool to see women embracing aging so they can perform their craft at the highest level. Imagine a guitarist or something, where the older they become, in order to keep working, they have to immobilize a finger every 5 years over the age of 30. And then some players come along and just won't immobilize themselves, being able to use the full range of their talent that they've honed over decades
