More virtuosic incompetence from MAGA.

Republicans have always fucked up the Hispanic vote in this country. They think all Hispanics are the same, and since they've always owned the Cubans, since the Cubans have always hated the Dems because JFK abandoned them at the Bay of Pigs (my Dad was part of the chopper team, waiting on the tarmac to fly into battle, when the call came in that it was called off), so they thought ALL Hispanics supported them. It never occurred to them that Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, Brazilians, Colombians, etc. are not just different from Americans, they are different from each other. They don't consider themselves the same, any more than white people assume they are the same as Canadians or Europeans. We may have the same color skin, and even language, but that doesn't mean we have the same beliefs.

Despite that, MAGA finally got them ALL on their side for a minute, then proceeded to abuse them like it was the 19th century. They had the chance to lock down the fast growing political block in America, but they just couldn't resist indulging their petty bigotry, and have likely lost them forever. Even their Cuban support will permanently weaken after this.

An amazing opportunity for the Right, and they could not have squandered it worse.
