Emile Foundation told Ukrainska Pravda.Zhyttia (Life) that contact with Mamotiuk was lost while arrangements were being made for her return to Ukraine.

Oleksandr Danylchuk, one of the residents who subsequently returned to Ukraine, said they were told about the relocation just one day before leaving. They were not asked whether they wanted to go to Russia.

If she's profoundly disabled, it's highly unlikely. She lived in a facility for people who need around-the-clock care for serious health issues, and she's a wheelchair user.

It makes me taste gall to say it, but it's far more likely that the soldiers who abducted her cared more about using her as a human shield, and didn't take her files or her meds when they kidnapped her. It's likely that she's dead or in deteriorating condition.

Fuck Russia.
