It's pretty undeniable that American carmakers have lost the plot at this point. Other carmakers are still getting by, but American brands are now irrelevant outside the states.

    Irrelevant? Teslas are absolutely everywhere here in Finland. A friend went to test drive one yesterday. Model Y is the best selling EV here.

    Was referring to the traditional American carmakers. Tesla's kind of a special case. But yeah, it's insane how popular Tesla is in Scandinavia.

    Well that is true. It's not a new thing though. American car brands have always had a reputation of being unreliable. The best selling brands here are Toyota, Volkswagen and Škoda.

    The American classic/muscle car subculture has a strong presence as well but that's also a special case.
