I think if she was born after 1949, and she speaks as though she is a few generations removed, then if there was no revolution and we just assume things went sort of like they were going under the KMT before that point, then there's still a substantial chance that she would have had her feet bound but most likely it would not have happened. It was already declining when the communists banned it (despite the KMT failing to ban it), though the decline was slower in rural areas like her family was in. At least, that's my understanding. It wasn't like in the previous century where, if her ancestors had that social position then as well, basically every woman probably had her feet bound.
