The GPEW has supported those for a while, they even reaffirmed their committent to both in 2024 when they voted to recognise Israel as an apartheid state.

This motion does do some good things, like calling for Palestinian prisoners to be released and de-prescribing Palestine Action. There was some amendments proposed, but the only one that past was removing some commitments in other documents to pursuing a two state solution – which I think is equally absurd position for the GPEW to have.

This whole motion has taken so much of the oxygen in the party and all it will materially do nothing. Like I do think racism is an integral and inseparable component of Zionism, but I just don't think this motion has or will do any good.
