A couple of films:
- The Murderers Among Us (1946) - one of the 'rubble films' shot in immediately post-war Berlin. A straightforward tale of survivors, trauma, war crimes and consequences very well told, with elements of pre-war expressionism, and the extraordinary backdrop of the city in ruins.
- The End of Oak Street (2026) - opening with a good deal of homage to early Spielberg, this one is undemanding fun and does pretty much what you'd expect of a dino-flick but offers very little that is new or exceptional. The ending really doesn't bear too much critical thought though.
