Every self identified Marxist Leninist I’ve ever met in this country is the most bohemian, well-read, emotionally intelligent person I’ve ever met. It’s not a large group of people but I am absolutely staggered by the absolute beacons of intelligence these people are. And I do feel like this translates to lemmy.ml. Whereas we still have vestiges of anti-intersectional, reactionary coded thinking of the dirtbag left that has taken over podcasts and the online left, .ml’s for the most part are very much traditionalists when it comes to informed and holistic materialist analysis.
